The Dr. Rohini Kanta Baruah Law College Central Library was established in the year 1977, i.e. just one year after the establishment of the College in the year 1976. The Central Library is the hub of Knowledge Resources with a good number of Text Books, Reference Books, Bare Acts, Journals, Magazines, Periodicals, Newspapers and also has some rare collection of Books, Gazetteer, and Reports, etc. At present, the library has a separate building on the ground floor near the Academic Block - C. The Dr. Rohini Kanta Baruah Law College Central Library is continuously developing the existing facilities and services for students one after another as per the requirement of Legal Education Rules of Bar Council of India. The library is partially automated and is using Koha Integrated Library Management Software for easy access and smooth functioning of the library. The Internet section of the library has computers with a high-speed broadband connection for all the users to access E-Resources available in the library. The library being the heart of an educational institution needs to be secure and with this motive, 24x7 CCTV surveillance has been installed.
The library has a total collection of 4431 as on 30th November, 2024. The collection covers the text and reference books in different subjects related to Law. Library subscribes to 4 numbers of Magazines, 3 numbers of Newspapers and 5 numbers of Journals on a regular basis. For the overall development of the library and to fulfill the needs of the students relating to library services and facilities, the Library Development Committee has been constituted.
