The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC) under the vision to make Higher Education Institutions a qualitative one through a combination of self and external quality evaluation, promotion and sustenance proposed the establishment of Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) in every institution.

The primary goal of IQAC is to develop a quality system for conscious, consistent & catalytic programmed action to improve the academic and administrative performance of the college. To augment the quality affirmation practices and to safeguard the exhaustive excellence and academic merit, Dr. Rohini Kanta Barua Law College visualized the need of establishment of IQAC in the institution.

Functions of Internal Quality Assurance Cell

• Development and Application of quality benchmarks/parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the college.
• Arrangement for feedback responses from students, parents and other stakeholders on quality related processes.
• Organization of intra and inter institutional workshops, seminars and quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
• Documentations of various programmes and activities of the college, leading to quality enhancement.
• Acting as a nodal agency for coordinating quality related activities, including adaption and dissemination of good practices.
